Description
Dame Margaret Barbour designed the Bedale to meet the needs of equestrians: it featured a shorter length, a relaxed fit, rear vents, and the essential internal nylon drip strip that prevented moisture from the horse from soaking into the jacket. Made from medium-weight (170-gram) waxed cotton, extremely functional and with optional zip-in thermal lining and hood, the Bedale is the perfect year-round jacket. The Bedale's popularity inspired a more fitted women's style, the Beadnell, named after a small fishing village in Northumberland.
